Rather than having to remember the syntax of each expression, you may decide that you prefer to use the expression builder.
To use this click the button as illustrated below in the box that allows you to enter expressions.

Once launched, you'll then see a screen as per the screenshot below:

The 3 columns highlighted below allow you to quickly navigate through the library of functions and also any fields that your form currently contains.
In the example above clicking on Functions in column 1 lists all of the available categories of functions in column 2.
Clicking in Text Functions in column 2 then lists of available text function in column 3. Double clicking a particular value, e.g. Len(textbox), enters the function and it's syntax into the Expression box above.
You'll also not that clicking on any function causes the information area at the bottom of the screen to display the syntax and an example.

To lookup and enter specific field names into your expressions:-
- Highlight the part of the expression into which you wish to replace with a valid field name (see below).

- Select Form Fields -> All
- All the fields in your form will be listed in column 3

Double click the field that you want and it will be placed into your expression.

- If there are no errors with your expression, click Save.
Unique Names
You may have noticed that when the field list is populated, it's not the caption of the of the field that's listed but the unique name of the field.
